Primary Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Wal*Mart / Sam’s business. 5 to 7 years experience at the buying / selling level working with both Wal*Mart and Sam’s Club, with responsibility managing a $75 to $100M business.
- This role will also cover International – Puerto Rico and Mexico, proficient in Spanish.
- Have the ability to create ideas / presentations on their own to provide customers solutions.
- Food Background is important but we are looking for a strong manager who has touched many areas of the store / club.
- Strong inter-functional leadership skills and an ability to manage change throughout the Company’s organization and broker / Acosta organization.
- History of working with a broker in a successful category or business is important.
- Excellent financial analysis, problem solving, and decision making ability.
- High level of intellect with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality.
- Proven success developing analytical studies, models, templates and tools.
- Highly skilled, hands-on command of syndicated data, consumer demographic data, and sell-in shipment data.
- Exceptional sales skills including negotiation, account management, account penetration, strategic selling, category management and leading edge sales strategies.
- Ability to creatively find solutions to business questions and issues.
- Solid presentation and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with ability to execute objectives, performance metrics, deadlines, and milestones; translating strategy into actionable plans.
- Currently performing similar or transferable responsibilities for a leading consumer products company.
- Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Category Management, Sales Analyst or Replenishment positions with large companies would be a benefit.
- Excellent retail link skills, presentation skills both written and oral and power point ability are very important to this role.
- 30% Travel which will include market visits and travel to corporate office and sales meetings.
