TITLE:   Associate Manager, Category Management

QUALIFICATION:  

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Prior sales and/or category management experience with consumer packaged goods.

• Consumer packaged goods category management experience including proficiency with Retail Link, Nielsen/IRI POS and Panel Data, Loyalty Card Data, and JDA Space Planning.  Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills.
  

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

• Represent company in terms of Category Management at the Walmart Buyer/DMM level in the role of Category Advisor, to include developing a relationship with all other key customer and supplier contacts.
• Manage, train, coach, develop, and evaluate the performance of Category Analysts.
• Ensure that Best-in-Class CM procedures are implemented within the Walmart Business Unit team.
• Perform category and market analysis and prepare recommendations in the areas of product preference, Store of the Community, SKU assortment, market size/potential, penetration, and marketing practices.   Lead the modular process for assigned categories.
• Identify and integrate relevant consumer and shopper insights into strategic category customer planning.
• Own the instructional integrity of a course.
