#3384 Sales Finance Manager – Minneapolis

Position:
- Sales Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and establish robust reporting and best practices for Sales to provide transparency, report effectiveness of spending and drive profitable growth
- Recommend how to optimally deploy the sales specific resources to best meet the needs of the business
- Proactively analyze and manage account and channel P&L’s to deliver optimal sales and profit delivery
- Partner with Sales to obtain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of customer and channel strategies, risks and opportunities, promotional activities and financial metrics
- Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business processes and deliver against strategy
- Analyze and communicate period and quarterly financial results to Sales including Customer Profitability, Sales Controllable Costs and Sales Fixed Costs to support and drive decision making
- Proactive identification and analysis of business issues and opportunities, including recommendations for future actions
- Support and participate in the collaborative planning meetings with Strategic accounts providing business perspective on financial and operational issues
- Partner with Trade Investment group to support and roll out ROI models and best practices to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities to drive growth
- Engage in the annual Integrated Account Planning Process and support the development of trade funding needs by account
- Manage and influence the development of the annual Sales Fixed Costs
- Lead the development of profitable growth targets (NSV/OP) with active support from the account team
- Develop and present Sales Staff and Management Team presentations during established cycles and on an ad hoc basis
- Provide in-depth financial analysis related to key strategic initiatives as well as tactical initiatives as determined by the external market (benchmarking)
- The role should expand the current boundaries of analytical thinking of the sales managers
- The role should spend time out in the market working with Sales to understand the competitive landscape, uncover opportunities for growth, further understand the customer, and strengthen the relationship with the Customer team

- Strong management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to influence without authority, and motivate all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives
- Proven ability to translate financial data into information to drive sound business decisions, and deliver messages at the appropriate level for the audience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong service mentality and willingness to perform associated responsibilities outside of the job description
- Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change
- Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented, and willing to drive change
- Demonstrated aptitude with Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skill
- Ability to develop reports and extract information using Business Objects
