JOB DESCRIPTION
- Create accurate & objective data analysis based on sales data combined with consumer purchasing behavior.
- Provides consumption-based insight to drive category sales(e.g. assortment, shelving, pricing, promotion, and profit).
- Employs an understanding of concepts such as shopper insights, retail shelving, modular/schematic planning, and pricing; technical knowledge of various computer systems and software; customer processes, systems, and priorities; and the relationship of these functions.
- Utilizes computer programs, databases and systems such as Retail Link, Nielsen, and Space Planning to create and maintain information used for tactical and strategic decisions on products/product categories. Information includes in-depth data on business tracking, test marketing, point-of-sale, modular/schematic planning and revisions, as well as numerous standardized and ad-hoc reports.
- Completes analysis of data in support of sales management and customer. Reports findings, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Participates in customer appointments and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one year Category experience and using Retail Link with CPG company.
- Experience with Nielsen/IRI Sales, ProSpace Planning.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
